British people, like talking about the weather, while in China they will say 你吃了吗？

The  most common form of greetings in many countries is a handshake.

The  Japanese greet each other with a short bow.

A great first impression can be  important, and once made it's very difficult to change.

2. useful expressions and words

polite 有礼貌的; rude 不讲礼貌的, not polite
e.g.  I'm afraid I wasn't very polite to he.
       It's rude not to say "Thank you" when you are given something.
       He's got no manners. = he's rude to everyone.

status

social status, 某人的社会地位, 也就是an accepted or official position especially in a social group, 指的是某人在社会中的地位或者是身份。
e.g.  The success of her book has given her unexpected celebrity status.

make an impression on somebody, 指的是给某人留下深刻的印象
e.g.   He made quite an impression on the girls at the tennis club.
